Please join me for an oil painting / acrylic painting class Tuesday Evenings, May 9-June 27th at the Amarillo Art Institute. I am here to help you with learning techniques for painting what you want to create. I will help you with design, style, composition, and color mixing from start to finish while encouraging individual creativity... and having fun while we do it! All skill levels are welcome! Paints: (I mix my colors but if you currently paint, bring what you have to start instead of investing in more specific colors.) Titanium White Ivory Black Cadmium Yellow Light or Lemon Yellow Yellow Ochre Cadmium Red Medium Cadmium Red Light Alizarin Crimson Burnt Sienna or Transparent Oxide Red Ultramarine Blue Cerulean or Cobalt Blue Optional Colors – a premixed green, orange or purple you like. Brushes: Various sizes of Flat and Round Bristle – Sizes from 2-4-6-8-10-12 (Synthetic brushes are also fine to use and not all sizes are required just a variety) Stiff fan brush Small liner brush size 1 or 0 Other Supplies: Stretched Canvas, Canvas Boards or Prepared Boards, the size preference is up to you. 8x10, no larger than 16x20. 3-4 Reference Pictures you would like to paint.
