What's a First Friday?

First Friday Art Walks have returned! First Friday is an event that we have ever ~you guessed it~ First Friday of the month. This evening is a free event open to the public, and kid-friendly. You can come and go as you please, enjoying music, food trucks, and all the artwork from local artists.

Don't forget to stop and talk to our studio artists! We have 20+ talented studio artists here, who enjoy displaying their art and showing others the talent that Amarillo has!

We also have a large public gallery displayed throughout the building that is changed out monthly. This artwork comes from 60+ local artists in the area, and each month there is something new to see.

We also celebrate our artists by having vendor booths set up, and our gift shop open. Our gift shop has items exclusively from our artists here at AAI. Each one has been handmade by someone who is a studio artist, student, or instructor. You will be buying something truly unique when you stop by.

Our vendor booths are available by request, and are different each month. If you are interested in having a vendor booth click here!

Be sure to take a look at the shows we have coming up. To the right is a tentative schedule for the year; this page will continue to be updated throughout the year.

First Fridays are our way of inviting the community into our space and giving everyone the chance to experience art!
