The Art of Stamping: Bracelets
Description
Stamping is one of the oldest methods for adding patterns to jewelry. Civilizations from the ancient Egyptians to the Romans, Vikings, and modern Native Americans have all used stamping as a technique in their jewelry work. The process is simple: using a hammer to smash a patterned die into the metal to leave an imprint, but the technique itself requires precision and takes many years to master. Over this evening course, you will learn the ancient technique of stamping by making 2 unique bracelets of your own. The copper, brass, and tools will be provided for students by the teacher. I will also have silver available for purchase for those that are brave enough to attempt it for their second project. Expect a silver bracelet blank to be between $100 and $200 depending on how wide you are wanting it to be, I can custom cut the width.
